Who we are
Step Up Tutoring is a tutoring company dedicated to providing affordable tutoring by high achieving tutors where the student’s comfort is at the core of our sessions.
We are made up of a team of tutors who are within 3 years of achieving highly in the subjects we are tutoring, so know the ins and outs of how our students feel, and provide an realistic ambition that putting in the effort can provide amazing results.
Each of our tutors achieved either an 8 or a 9 (equivalent to a high A or A*s), and has experience learning in their specialist subject in the academic “Step Up” for at least 3 months (GCSE maths tutors study A-Level maths for at least 3 months).
All our tutors desire to create fun, engaging sessions that build confidence and prove that inaccuracies do not have to be so demoralising.
Why us
Step Up Tutoring was established when we recognised the barrier between students and their tutors: comfort. Students that are struggling frequently don’t want to risk getting questions wrong in front of teachers, but our tutors break down that wall by providing relatable experiences and encouraging learning.
We recognise that school, revising, and exams can all be daunting; our tutors have recently been through the stressful time of exam season preparation and we recognise asking for help can feel exposing.
We provide several services so that you can receive the tutoring that works best for you. They range from face to face to online, from 1 on 1 to groups of 6, and from personalised regular sessions to come when you need it online classes!
We are also strong believers that private tuition should be accessible for all – so we provide affordable prices without decreasing standards. All our tutors drive to thrive in lessons AND in the work they do as tutors.
