Our GCSE tutors are recent GCSE graduates who achieved either an 8 or a 9 (equivalent to a high A or A*) within the last 3 years. They have also continued their studies in their specialist subjects in the academic “Step Up” to develop a deeper understanding (GCSE maths tutors study A-Level maths).
All our GCSE tutors aim to inspire, improve and support their students with engaging sessions that build confidence and provide results.
There are 2 different session types you can book a specific tutor for: 1-2-1 and group bookings.
1-2-1: Online 1-2-1 sessions cost £20 per hour. In person sessions cost £24 per hour.
Group bookings: Online group sessions start at £17 per person per hour for 2 students, and can get as cheap as £12 per person per hour for 6 students. In person group sessions start at £21 per person per hour for 2 students and get as cheap as £15 per person per hour for 6 people.
Our A-Level tutors are current university undergraduate students who achieved either an A or A* in their A-Level specialist subject. They have also continued their studies within their university degree.
All our A-Level tutors aim to streamline performance with realistic targets, engaging sessions, and a personalised game plan.
There are 2 different session types you can book a specific tutor for: 1-2-1 and group bookings.
1-2-1: Online 1-2-1 sessions cost £25 per hour. In person sessions cost £30 per hour.
Group bookings: Online group sessions start at £21 per person per hour for 2 students, and can get as cheap as £15 per person per hour for 6 students. In person group bookings start at £27 per person per hour for 2 students and get as cheap as £20 per person per hour for 6 people.

Terms and Conditions: Must be referred by a student/parent of a student (the referrer) who is currently receiving a tutoring service from Step Up Tutoring. The student referred (the friend) must be new to Step Up Tutoring and not had any tuition or attended an online class. There is no limit to the number of referrals a referrer can do. Discounts do not stack on a singular session (2 referrals in a row is 2 consecutive sessions with 10% off, not 20% on one session). The friend’s discount applies to their first session. The referrer’s discount applies to their next session after the friend completes their first session. To redeem the discount, the friend must email refer@stepuptutoring.co stating the name of the referrer and the name of the tutor the new student will be getting tuition with. Step Up Tutoring reserves the right to alter and/or end this promotion at any time.
