A bit about me: Hey! I’m Ella and I just finished my A levels at Aquinas college. I am offering tutoring sessions for Biology and Chemistry, both of which I achieved A* for at A level as well as 9 (A*) at GCSE.

What are my sessions like: My sessions will be primarily on areas the student wishes to look at. Practicing past exam questions and papers and learning to understand mark schemes will be a main focus as understanding what examiners look for is important. I will also explain content areas if a student doesn’t understand particular aspects of the specification. I will only be offering online sessions.

My favourite revision method: I personally believe active recall and practicing questions are the most effective methods. Cue cards are also useful for key information.

Next steps: In September, I will be starting my journey at Warwick university where I will be studying Neuroscience (MBio).

Tutoring mantra: Don’t give up! Just because you don’t immediately understand something doesn’t mean you never will!

Hobbies: I enjoy climbing, reading, art and baking. I also love music.
