Chemistry Tutor, Geography Tutor, Maths Tutor

A bit about me: I have always enjoyed studying especially in my chosen subjects of geography and maths. I believe that tutoring is an amazing way to help develop confidence and enjoyment within a subject, which is why I’m continuing to tutor at Step Up Tutoring for a second year. I studied maths, chemistry, geography and fine art A-level at Loreto College which has set me up brilliantly for university.

What my sessions are like: In my sessions I will help re-teach any topics as needed as well as improving confidence in exam questions, ultimately leading to past paper practices. Whilst providing an educational experience is my main goal I firmly believe that sessions should be enjoyable.

My favourite revision method: I personally believe that ultimately completing past papers is the easiest way to become more comfortable in exams, as well as practising questions in timed conditions, as this can help people become more confident with the time pressure presented by exams. I also believe the Pomodoro study method is effective as testing breaks is equally important during long study sessions.

Next steps: Having finished my A-Levels last year, I am now completing an Environmental Science MSci at the University of East Anglia.

Tutoring mantra: Don’t let your grades define you! Studying should be as much about finding subjects you’re passionate about as it is passing exams.

Hobbies: I am a very creative person and in my free time, I enjoy painting, as well as listening to music.
